The Bosch Rexroth 3DR Pressure Reducing Valves are pilot-operated, 3-way cartridge or subplate-mounted valves designed for the combined function of reducing and limiting pressure in a hydraulic system. Their function is twofold: they first reduce the pressure from the input (P) to the working line (A) to a stable, pre-set value, and simultaneously act as a relief valve, limiting the maximum pressure in the working line (A) by dumping any excess flow to the tank (T). The valve works by using a pilot control stage to compare the pressure in line A against an adjustable spring force; when the pressure in A rises too high, the main spool shifts to throttle the flow from P and/or open the connection to T. This unique 3-way design is ideal for maintaining a stable, lower-pressure secondary circuit while also ensuring that the pressure in that circuit does not spike due to external loads. The series provides various adjustment options, including rotary knobs and screw-in designs, and is rated for operating pressures up to 315 bar.
