The MHT 500 250/250 N1/30 hydraulic motor manufactured by Vickers belongs to the Vane Motors series and is intended to convert hydraulic energy into controlled rotary motion in automation systems. In full mode the motor displaces 6158.2 cc per revolution, while partial mode displacement is 3079.1 cc per revolution, allowing circuit designers to select a flow rate that matches desired speed. A rated operating pressure of 138 bar restricts continuous duty to a safe working limit, and at this pressure the rotor may run up to 150 rpm so drive speed remains within mechanical limits. Output torque scales with supply pressure; at 100 psi the unit delivers 678 Nm in full mode and 339 Nm in partial mode, providing predictable torque calculations for sizing gear trains or direct drives. A minimum case flow of 1.89 l/min is required to evacuate internal leakage oil and cool bearings, and a shaft seal diameter of 104.78 mm establishes the mating dimension for the housing interface.

For short overloads the motor can withstand a stall pressure of 190 bar, enabling momentary high-load starting conditions without damage. Installation is guided by a bolt circle measuring 342.9 mm, which positions the housing accurately on the mounting face. Two case drain ports are provided, each machined with a 0.8750-14 UNF-2B thread, so piping can be routed for either left- or right-hand orientation. Mounting screws may enter the housing no more than 38.1 mm, preventing interference with internal components, and the mounting surface must remain flat within 0.025 mm to keep the sealing gasket compressed uniformly. A pilot bore may be inserted to a maximum depth of 5.84 mm to center the motor during assembly and maintain concentricity between shaft and driven equipment.
