The 25M42A 1C20 hydraulic vane motor belongs to the Vane Motors series from Vickers and converts pressurized fluid into rotary motion for automated machinery. A balanced cartridge design equalizes radial forces and reduces internal leakage during continuous duty. The motor delivers 42 lb-in of torque for every 100 psi applied, providing a clear sizing reference for system designers. Bidirectional rotation lets the same unit power forward or reverse circuits without mechanical changes. Radial and thrust loads are managed by a ball bearing in the body together with a bushing in the cover, maintaining shaft concentricity across the operating speed range.
Installation flexibility is provided by a body face mount that mates to an SAE 2-bolt flange, so the motor seats flush against manifold plates. The cover can be set in four discrete positions, and its in-line port path keeps flow straight to minimize pressure drop. Supply and return lines may enter either the body or the cover, while an external drain port vents case oil to the reservoir. Each hydraulic interface uses an SAE 4-bolt flange, and a Teflon ring seals the port faces against leakage even under thermal cycling. These features allow the 25M42A 1C20 to integrate quickly into compact hydraulic frames with minimal adapter hardware.
