The DGM 3 BT CH 41 modular valve is produced by Vickers as part of the SystemStak Modular Valves series and is intended to protect hydraulic circuits by venting excess pressure. It employs a two-stage relief design, a configuration that stabilizes the pilot signal before the main spool opens, keeping downstream pressure fluctuations low. The unit carries a B-to-T single relief function, so fluid is routed from the B port to tank once the threshold is reached. Maximum operating pressure is 315 bar (4500 psi), allowing the valve to serve high-pressure manifolds in compact stack assemblies. Users can set cracking pressure anywhere between 10 bar and 200 bar to match actuator requirements. A maximum flow capacity of 60 L/min, equivalent to 16 US gpm, supports medium-sized pumps without inducing excessive pressure loss. The recommended viscosity window of 13 cSt to 54 cSt maintains predictable damping across the control orifice, and a fluid cleanliness level of 18/16/13 limits wear on internal surfaces.

For installation, the valve mates to an ISO 4401-03 (NFPA D03) interface so it can be sandwiched between directional controls and subplates in standard manifold stacks. Four mounting holes drilled to 5.3 mm diameter accept metric or UNC screws that secure the body without distortion. Pressure adjustment is carried out with a Type H handknob, enabling tool-free tuning during commissioning. The knob measures 32 mm in diameter to give adequate grip, and it can be extended up to 89 mm to reach panel fronts when valves are buried in multistack assemblies. Operating reliability is preserved in ambient temperatures as low as −20 °C, allowing cold-start performance in unheated machinery spaces. The upper ambient limit of +80 °C prevents seal degradation in hot press environments, completing the temperature envelope assigned to this model.
