The XT101F30 pressure reducing valve is produced by Vickers for the Pressure Reducing Valves series and is used in hydraulic automation to maintain a stable downstream pressure. Its nominal size of 1 1/4 in defines the internal flow passages, and a maximum flow of 284 L/min (75 US gpm) shows how much oil can pass without excessive loss. An upstream limit of 210 bar (3000 psi) specifies the highest supply pressure the body can endure, while a downstream limit of 70 bar (1000 psi) states the greatest regulated pressure the pilot section will hold. A minimum pressure differential of 10 bar (150 psi) is required so the pilot can function correctly. System piping connects through G1 1/4 BSPF inlet and outlet ports, and surplus pilot oil drains through a G1/4 port that must not exceed 1.7 bar (25 psi) to prevent malfunction.
The valve may be installed in any orientation because the mounting attitude is unrestricted, simplifying manifold layouts. It works in ambient temperatures from −20 °C (−4 °F) to 70 °C (158 °F) and tolerates fluid temperatures up to 80 °C (176 °F), accommodating typical petroleum oils. The housing weighs 12.1 kg (26.6 lb), providing enough mass for rigid pipe support. During setting adjustments, the locknut should be tightened to 15–25 N·m (20–34 lbf·ft) to secure the spring seat, and the cover screws require 48–58 N·m (65–77 lbf·ft) to seal the pilot cavity. A G3/8 remote control port allows an external pilot line to shift the reduced pressure when remote adjustment is needed.
