The XT032B30 valve belongs to the Pressure Reducing Valves series from Vickers and is used to maintain constant downstream pressure in hydraulic systems. It fits lines with a nominal size of 3/8 in, allowing direct installation in moderate-capacity circuits. The unit tolerates a maximum supply pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) so it can be fed directly from high-pressure pumps without additional relief devices. Downstream pressure is limited to a maximum reduced pressure of 140 bar (2000 psi) to protect sensitive actuators. Stable regulation requires at least 10 bar (150 psi) inlet pressure above the set point, stated as the minimum inlet over setting. When tuned for low-pressure work, the valve can hold a minimum reduced pressure of 5.25 bar (76 psi). Flow capacity reaches 26 L/min (6.7 USgpm), while acceptable fluid viscosity extends up to 500 cSt for compatibility with heavy oils.

The XT032B30 can be mounted in any attitude, giving installers unrestricted orientation options within crowded manifolds. Operating temperatures range from −20 C to +70 C ambient, enabling outdoor service in varied climates. Fluid temperature limits are +80 C for petroleum-based media and +54 C for water-based fluids, ensuring seal integrity across common hydraulic oils and emulsions. Pressure in the drain port must not exceed 1.7 bar (25 psi), and the connection uses a G1/4 thread for straightforward hose routing. A matching G1/4 gauge port thread is provided to attach diagnostic instrumentation without adapters. The assembled valve weighs 3.2 kg (7 lb), so single-person handling is feasible during maintenance or replacement.
