It is specified as a pressure reducing valve and uses pilot-operated actuation to balance the outlet line against a pilot pressure derived internally. The unit is built as a two-stage assembly so the pilot section modulates the main poppet under varying load. A screw with a locknut lets the technician set the desired outlet pressure while preventing drift during service. The design handles supply pressures up to 210 bar (3000 psi) and can limit the reduced line to 140 bar (2000 psi). An integral check valve allows reverse flow toward the supply when required, and the body threads directly into a 3/4 NPT pipe mount. A dedicated 1/4 NPTF gauge port is provided so the outlet setting can be verified without disrupting the circuit.
In operation the valve passes up to 57 L/min (15 US gpm) so it suits medium-capacity circuits. The drain port must not exceed 1.7 bar (25 psi), ensuring the pilot section vents freely and maintains accuracy. Nitrile seals contain mineral oil while tolerating a maximum fluid temperature of 80 °C. System oil must meet ISO 19/17/14 cleanliness to prevent spool wear and sticking. The assembly functions in ambient conditions from −20 °C to 70 °C, giving flexibility for mobile or factory installations. These limits and flow capabilities complete the functional profile and allow the XCT062B30 to maintain a stable reduced pressure across varied hydraulic loads.
