The XCT031F30 pressure reducing valve is built by Vickers for use in hydraulic automation and belongs to the Pressure Reducing Valves series. It supports a maximum supply pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) so it can be installed on high-pressure feed lines without needing upstream regulators. The valve can reduce outlet pressure down to 70 bar (1000 psi) at maximum adjustment, allowing downstream actuators to operate at a controlled level. A minimum adjustable reduced pressure of 150 psi establishes the lowest setpoint the operator can dial in for sensitive circuits. The design requires a 10 bar (150 psi) minimum inlet pressure margin to maintain stable regulation of the reduced zone. Flow up to 14 USgpm can pass through the body, matching the needs of medium-size hydraulic manifolds. Overall length is 6.200 in, width is 2.750 in, and height is 5.600 in, so the unit fits compactly on subplates or inline piping and the small envelope eases mounting inside crowded power units.
Pressure is set with a screw and locknut adjustment, enabling accurate field tuning while preventing drift from vibration. A 3/8 NPTF pipe port handles the main inlet and outlet connections, matching common hydraulic pipe fittings. The gauge port uses a 1/4 NPTF thread so maintenance staff can attach a pressure gauge for quick diagnostics. Drain flow returns to tank through a port that can tolerate up to 1.7 bar (25 psi), protecting the internal spool from back-pressure. A nitrile seal set keeps petroleum-based fluids contained and resists swelling at typical system temperatures. Compatibility is limited to petroleum oils, ensuring proper lubrication and seal life. System cleanliness should be maintained at ISO 19/17/14 or better so the valve operates without spool sticking. A free-flow check valve in the reverse direction is included, letting fluid bypass the reducer when flow reverses and preventing pressure buildup.
