The XCT031B30 valve belongs to the Pressure Reducing Valves series and is manufactured by Vickers for hydraulic automation systems that require stable downstream pressure. It accepts an inlet pressure up to 210 bar (3000 psi) so it can be installed on high-pressure supply lines without excessive upstream regulation. The outlet side can be adjusted up to 70 bar (1000 psi), providing a fixed secondary pressure suitable for medium-pressure actuators. Operators can lower the set point to 5 bar (75 psi) when sensitive circuits need minimal force. A rated flow capacity of 26 L/min (6.7 USgpm) ensures that the valve maintains target pressure while supplying moderate volume to downstream components. Connection to the system is made through 3/8 NPTF ports, matching common pipe fittings in industrial hydraulic layouts. The nominal port size is 3/8 in, which balances flow capability with compact envelope dimensions. A G1/4 BSPF gage port is provided so technicians can verify secondary pressure during commissioning and maintenance. The drain port is limited to 1.7 bar (25 psi) to protect the internal pilot circuit from back-pressure that could disturb pressure control.

The valve operates in ambient temperatures from −20 °C to +70 °C, making it suitable for machinery exposed to seasonal temperature swings. It also accommodates petroleum-based hydraulic fluid between −20 °C (−4 °F) and +80 °C (+176 °F), preserving seal integrity across common operating ranges. With an overall length of 157.48 mm (6.200 in), the unit fits inside standard manifold blocks or line-mounted brackets. The width measures 69.85 mm (2.750 in), allowing side-by-side mounting with other control valves in tight panels. A height of 142.24 mm (5.600 in) provides space for the adjustment screw and locknut without exceeding typical cabinet clearances.
