The XCG063F21 pressure reducing valve is manufactured by Vickers and belongs to the Pressure Reducing Valves series. It is installed in hydraulic automation circuits to maintain a stable downstream pressure relative to a fluctuating inlet. The valve is built for a nominal size of 3/4 in., allowing it to fit medium-capacity lines, and passes a rated flow of 114 L/min (30 USgpm) to support typical mobile or industrial actuators. Downstream pressure can be set anywhere between 13.8 bar and 200 bar so the user can match circuit requirements, while the spring section needs an inlet overpressure of 10 bar above the desired setting to operate correctly. The inlet side tolerates a maximum supply pressure of 210 bar which protects the housing and internal elements from overload. Excess fluid is routed through the drain port, which is limited to 1.7 bar to prevent back-pressure interference with the pilot section.
Ambient air around the unit may range from –20 C to +70 C, making it suitable for unheated workshops or heated equipment rooms. Petroleum-based hydraulic media can be supplied between –20 C and +80 C, while water-containing fluids must stay between +10 C and +54 C to avoid cavitation or corrosion. The design accepts viscosities from 13 cSt up to 500 cSt, so both light and heavy oils can be controlled without loss of stability. These temperature and viscosity windows ensure consistent damping in the pilot passages and reliable pressure reduction across varied operating conditions.
