The DGMX2 5 PP B W 20 valve belongs to the Pressure Reducing Valves series and is produced by Vickers. It regulates system pressure in hydraulic automation circuits by combining reducing and relieving functions. The unit is pressure-operated, so inlet pressure shifts the internal spool without auxiliary actuation. It works on the P port, letting the supply line see a controlled downstream pressure while excess is vented. Pilot control is taken directly from the pressure port, which simplifies plumbing. System pressure is adjusted with a screw that is secured by a locknut to prevent drift. Users can set outlet pressure anywhere between 8.5 and 100 bar, and transient rises are limited to a 31 bar overshoot. The construction tolerates operating pressures up to 315 bar, allowing installation in high-pressure supply manifolds.
It supports flows to 120 L/min, enabling service on medium-capacity power units. The body follows the ISO 4401-05, NFPA D05 interface so it can bolt to common subplates, and the design is intended for subplate or manifold mounting to keep pipe runs short. There is no external drain, meaning return oil passes internally to the tank port, and no remote control port is provided, so adjustment can only be local. Fluid entering the valve must meet ISO 4406 cleanliness level 19/17/14 to protect the spool surfaces. Acceptable ambient or fluid temperatures range from 0 °C to 80 °C to match typical industrial oil specifications.
