The DGMX2-3-PA-BW-S-40 pressure reducing valve belongs to the Pressure Reducing Valves series and is manufactured by Vickers. It is intended to maintain a controlled outlet pressure in hydraulic automation circuits. The valve is of the reducing-relieving overlapped type, and it is pressure operated so the spool reacts directly to line pressure changes. It mounts on an ISO 4401-03 (NFPA D03) interface and is fitted for subplate or manifold installation. Pilot control is taken from Port A while the reducing line is connected to Port P. Outlet pressure is adjusted at the B port end with a screw and locknut, allowing the user to set values up to the maximum operating level of 315 bar.
During service the valve handles flow rates to 60 L/min while controlling pressure through the designated pressure port. There is no external drain, so return fluid is routed internally to simplify manifold layout. The working temperature span extends from –20 °C to 80 °C, supporting operation in typical industrial environments. These limits combine with the mounting pattern to permit standardization across compact power units. By integrating pilot control within the body and omitting a separate drain line, the valve reduces plumbing complexity and minimizes leakage paths while still providing the commanded pressure reduction for downstream actuators.
