The DGMX1 3 PP AW 22 S pressure reducing valve belongs to the Pressure Reducing Valves series and is produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation systems that need a stable downstream pressure. It employs a vent-type spool that balances inlet and outlet forces to keep pressure constant while flow passes through the valve body. A hex screw with a lock nut serves as the adjustment mechanism, so technicians can set the required level without drift. The design supports a reduced pressure as low as 3.5 bar (50 psi) and as high as 30 bar (425 psi) to suit light or moderate load circuits. Installation uses a CETOP 3 (NFPA D01) mounting interface that fits industry-standard subplates, and the fluid must be filtered to 35 µm absolute or finer to prevent spool scoring and leakage.

Both the control port and the operated port are the P port, so the valve senses and modulates the main pressure line without auxiliary passages. During assembly, the orifice plug is tightened to 80 N·m (59 lbf·ft) to secure the damping orifice, while the main plug seats at 120 N·m (88 lbf·ft) to seal the adjustment cavity. These torque values preserve thread integrity and prevent external leakage under cyclic loading.
