It carries design number 10 and attaches to manifolds that follow the ISO 4401-07 interface, allowing straightforward installation on standardized subplates. At a datum pressure of 8 bar (116 psi) the unit supplies a rated flow of 180 L/min (47.5 USgpm), making it suitable for medium-capacity actuator circuits. Antiwear hydraulic oil is the required working fluid so internal surfaces remain protected during continuous duty. The valve uses only an external drain, routing pilot oil directly to tank and preventing backpressure in the housing. Its hydrostat function channels pressure from port P to either port A or port B, enabling bidirectional cylinder control without replumbing.

The pressure envelope reaches 250 bar (3625 psi) on the P, A, and B work ports, the same 250 bar limit that applies to the T return port and the X pilot port. In contrast, the Y drain port tolerates just 5 bar (72 psi), so that line must stay unrestricted. Stable pilot selection is achieved when the DGMA-7-W shuttle module is fitted; this module directs the higher of two pilot pressures to the control chambers to maintain consistent spool positioning. By adhering to these pressure limits and using the specified shuttle module, the valve preserves proportional metering accuracy across its electrical command range while preventing seal extrusion or housing distortion.
