Petroleum-based hydraulic oils are the specified fluid so seals and internal finishes maintain compatibility, and system cleanliness must be held at ISO 20/18/15 or better to avoid spool sticking. Operation is limited to fluid temperatures between 70 °F and 122 °F, ensuring the coil insulation and elastomers stay within safe limits. By providing directional control under these conditions, the valve completes hydraulic logic functions without additional pilot stages or mechanical linkages.
