It is solenoid-operated, so electrical coils shift the spool on command. The coils accept 110 VAC at 50 Hz or 120 VAC at 60 Hz, enabling direct connection to standard plant power. An energizing time of 20–40 ms delivers fast response for sequencing tasks. The four-way flow path routes pressure and return lines to two actuator ports, and the body mounts on an ISO 4401-05 (D05) subplate for uniform manifold installation. A closed-center spool that bleeds ports A and B blocks flow in neutral while equalizing residual pressure, and a spring-centered three-position arrangement returns the spool to neutral when the coils are de-energized. The main passages withstand 3600 psi, and the tank port is rated for 1000 psi back-pressure.
The valve carries a maximum flow capacity of 20 gpm, supplying medium-sized cylinders or motors without excessive pressure drop. Buna-N seals confine the hydraulic medium over a working temperature range of 70 °F to 122 °F. System fluid must meet a cleanliness level of 20/18/15 to ISO 4406 to prevent abrasion of the spool lands. An indicator light shows coil status, and the wiring is enclosed in a terminal box with light to aid field diagnostics.
