The MOD-6C-31-S35 valve belongs to the Directional Control Valves series and is manufactured by Vickers for electrically shifted flow management in hydraulic automation. It is a solenoid-operated unit, so coil energization moves the spool without manual intervention. The steel body resists pressure-induced fatigue common in industrial power units. In its neutral state the spool holds the pump line closed while routing both work ports to tank, defined as a P blocked, A and B to T (6C) center condition, which unloads actuators during standby. Four ports are provided to connect pressure, return, and two service lines, each port having an inside diameter of 0.188 in to match compact circuit plumbing. Serving as the directional control element within the circuit, the valve shifts flow paths to start, stop, or reverse actuator motion.
Panel installation uses four mounting holes, each drilled to 0.188 in so standard cap screws secure the enclosure without modification. The holes are arranged on 1.625 in center-to-center spacing horizontally and 1.88 in center-to-center spacing vertically, allowing direct interchange with common sub-plates. Overall dimensions measure 6.500 in in length, 1.625 in in height, and 1.625 in in width, giving the valve a rectangular profile that fits narrow manifolds. These size and mounting details let maintenance staff replace the unit quickly while preserving port alignment and spool stroke accuracy.
