The KBHDG4V-3-5X-M1-PE7-11 is produced by Vickers for the Directional Control Valves series and regulates flow and pressure in automated hydraulic circuits. It mounts on an ISO 4401 Size 03 (ANSI D03) interface, allowing direct replacement on standard subplates. A pressure rating of 350 bar (5000 psi) at the P, A, and B ports permits integration in high-pressure systems. The unit is built for a continuous duty factor of ED 100%, so the solenoid may remain energized without planned cooling pauses. Operation is permitted in ambient temperatures up to 70 °C, supporting installation near hot power units. Electronics draw from a nominal 24 VDC supply, yet the circuitry tolerates up to 36 VDC to ride through voltage surges. Maximum supply current is limited to 3 A, guiding power-supply sizing for multiple valve banks. Supply ripple must not exceed 10 % peak-to-peak, indicating the need for regulated DC sources in the control cabinet.

The proportional stage accepts a ±10 VDC command on the m1 input, enabling direct drive from standard motion controllers. An input impedance of 47 Ω defines the load seen by the control amplifier. Spool movement begins once the signal exceeds a 0.25 V threshold, establishing a precise dead-band window. Differential voltage between the e and d pins must stay below 100 mV to avoid unintended shifts, while common-mode voltage can rise to 18 V relative to pin B without harming the electronics. During operation a monitor output delivers ±10 VDC across the full stroke so the host system can verify actual spool position. Solenoid drive is modulated at a 10 kHz PWM frequency, which reduces magnetic hysteresis and audible noise. All conductors terminate in a PE7 seven-pin plug, allowing quick field replacement of the valve harness.
