The KBFDG4V-5-2C70N-Z-PC7-H7-10 valve belongs to the Directional Control Valves series and is manufactured by Vickers to direct hydraulic flow in automated equipment. It is solenoid controlled, so an electromagnetic coil shifts the spool instead of pilot pressure. The coils operate on 24 VDC, aligning with typical machine control power. A 4–20 mA command input permits proportional positioning from PLC analog outputs, while a ±10 V feedback signal reports actual spool position for closed-loop regulation. Electrical connection is made through a seven-pin PC7 connector that carries power, command, and feedback conductors in one plug. Because no manual override is provided, unplanned hand actuation is prevented during service. The housing is built for subplate mounting, enabling quick removal from a manifold without disturbing hard plumbing.

Conformance to ISO 4401-05, NFPA D05, and CETOP 5 mounting patterns lets the valve interchange with standard manifolds. It tolerates 315 bar on the pressure ports, giving headroom for high-pressure servo loops, and will pass 70 L/min at full stroke to satisfy medium-flow actuators. Pressure drop at that flow is limited to 5 bar, reducing wasted energy. The tank port is rated for 210 bar, so back-pressure from load-holding circuits will not damage the body. Meter-in and meter-out metering characteristics allow controlled acceleration and deceleration of cylinders. With an all-ports-blocked spool in the neutral position, actuators remain locked when no signal is present. Viton seals resist high temperature and aggressive hydraulic fluids, and system oil must be filtered to a cleanliness level of 17/15/12 to protect the sliding fit surfaces.
