The KBDG5V833C330NM2PE7H110 proportional directional control valve is produced by Vickers within the Directional Control Valves series. Designed for closed-loop hydraulic automation, it accepts a 4–20 mA command signal so a controller can vary flow in proportion to current. A 100 Ω input impedance limits loading on the command source, while an internal monitor output of ±10 V DC allows real-time verification of the spool position. The on-board electronics run from a 24 V DC supply that may range between 21 and 36 V, and they draw up to 3 A during peak demand. The circuitry is armed when at least 8.5 V is present on the enable pin, which supports interlock schemes. Connection to the machine harness is handled through a 7-pin PE7 plug for combined power and signal lines. An enclosure rating of IP65 and IP67 guards against dust ingress and high-pressure water when the mating connector is installed.

Hydraulic ports P, A, and B are rated for 350 bar (5000 psi), enabling the valve to govern high-pressure circuits without external pressure reducers. The unit maintains reliable operation with oil temperatures from 0 to 70 °C, and its electronics tolerate ambient temperatures down to −20 °C, so cold starts are permitted in unheated installations. When equipment is idle, storage between −25 and +85 °C prevents damage to seals and electronic components. A 10 kHz PWM carrier drives the solenoids, giving fine flow resolution while keeping audible noise low. In the neutral position the spool keeps port P closed and bleeds ports A and B to tank, ensuring actuators are depressurized when the valve is centered. During motion the Meter-In and Meter-Out metering arrangement allows symmetrical control of flow entering and leaving the actuator for balanced acceleration and deceleration.
