It operates on a 24 VDC supply that powers the onboard electronics, while a ±10 VDC command signal establishes the required spool position for flow metering. The electronics modulate the solenoid at 10 kHz, and current draw is limited to 3 A to match common mobile power sources. A matching ±10 VDC monitor signal is available on pin F to report actual spool movement back to the motion controller. Wiring is handled through a 7-pin plug coded PE7, which consolidates power, command, and feedback lines. Dynamic performance is defined by an energizing time of 55 ms at 150 bar and a de-energizing time of 45 ms, allowing repeatable actuation in closed-loop systems.

In the hydraulic circuit the valve centers in a closed center state, and a spring-centered spool returns to this position when the solenoid is de-energized. Shifting the spool requires a control volume of 7.28 cm³, a figure relevant when sizing the pilot flow. Once actuated, spool 2 passages accommodate up to 300 L/min (80 US gpm), while pressure on ports P, A, B, T, and X may reach 350 bar without derating. The pilot stage accepts external supply through port X and tolerates the same 350 bar, whereas back pressure on port Y must stay below 210 bar. These limits preserve linear flow characteristics and prevent seat erosion during high-duty cycles.
