The KBDG5V-5-2CN90-M1-PH7-H1-10 directional valve is part of the Directional Control Valves series from Vickers and is installed in hydraulic automation circuits to route flow between pressure, actuator, and tank lines. It is built as a two-stage unit so a low-power pilot section shifts the main spool under load. Solenoid pilot actuation converts electrical signals into pilot flow, allowing remote control from a PLC or motion controller. The coil operates at 24 V DC, which aligns with common machine control power supplies. Command input of ±10 V drives the onboard electronics and sets the desired spool position proportional to the reference signal. An internal pilot supply taps pressure from the P port, eliminating separate pilot plumbing, while an external pilot drain returns spent pilot oil directly to tank to prevent back-pressure on the pilot stage. The spool rests with all ports blocked to hold actuators at standstill when the valve is neutral. Electrical connection is made through a 7-pin Hirschmann plug, providing organized terminals for the control wiring.

The main stage is rated for 90 L/min through the A port and the same 90 L/min through the B port, allowing balanced flow to either side of a cylinder or motor. Mounting follows the ISO 4401-05 interface, also known as NFPA D05 or CETOP 5, so the valve fits standard subplates without adapters. A plain manual override lets maintenance personnel shift the spool mechanically during commissioning or when power is unavailable. Maximum working pressure at ports P, A, and B is 315 bar, while the tank port withstands 210 bar, matching common high-pressure systems and return-line conditions. Operating limits extend from −20 °C to 70 °C, covering typical industrial ambient and fluid temperatures. These characteristics confirm the valve’s capacity to handle demanding service while maintaining precise, electrically driven control of hydraulic circuits.
