It directs pressurized fluid through a 4-way flow path using manual knob actuation, eliminating the need for solenoids in environments where electricity is limited. The unit is sized to the D05 envelope and mates with the ISO 4401-05 (NFPA D05) interface; its mounting type is subplate or manifold mounted for quick replacement in modular stacks. When installed, the valve processes flow rates up to 114 L/min (30 gpm) and tolerates system pressures as high as 315 bar (4500 psi) without leakage.
During neutral operation the center condition is 33, so ports A and B bleed to tank while port P stays blocked to hold upstream pressure. The matched spool type 33 moves 3.6 mm (0.14 in) per position, establishing or closing the required flow paths. Nitrile (Buna-N) seals contain the working fluid and resist common hydraulic oils. The tank port withstands back-pressure to 70 bar (1000 psi), and reliable performance is maintained when the fluid cleanliness level is ISO 4406 class 19/17/14 or better. Operation remains stable at fluid temperatures up to 50 °C (122 °F), allowing the valve to function inside typical industrial reservoirs.
