The 4CKD90-P-3 valve belongs to the Directional Control Valves series from Vickers and directs hydraulic flow in automated machinery. Its screw-in cartridge installation lets designers drop the unit straight into a manifold block, saving external tubing. Because the port configuration is cartridge only, all hydraulic connections remain inside the manifold for a clean layout. The A12336 cavity designation tells the machinist the exact bore and thread dimensions needed for proper fit. A rated flow capacity of 90 L/min defines how much oil can pass without unacceptable pressure loss, while a pressure limit of 350 bar allows use in high-pressure circuits. A poppet style sealing element closes against the seat to block flow when shifted. The valve is pilot operated, so movement of the poppet is achieved by a small control stream rather than direct solenoid force, and a 25:1 pilot ratio reduces the required pilot pressure to open under full system load.

Internal leakage is held to 0.3 cc/min, minimizing energy waste and preventing drift of connected actuators during idle periods. A dedicated pilot piston seal is present to keep pilot oil from bypassing into the main flow paths. Main dynamic and static seals are molded from Buna-N, providing durability when exposed to mineral-based media. The design is approved for MIL-H-5606 hydraulic fluid, supporting use in aerospace and ground equipment that specify this oil. Reliable operation is maintained from −20 °C up to 90 °C, so the valve can be used in both cold starts and warm running conditions. Three housing ports give manifold designers the standard pressure, tank, and work connections, and the internal architecture presents three valve ports to route those flows through the poppet. Together these characteristics supply consistent directional control in compact hydraulic automation systems that rely on cartridge technology.
