The F3-DG5S-8-33C-2-M-FTWL-B5-30 valve belongs to the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series and is produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation where positive flow path control is required. A flying lead coil rated for 110 V AC at 50 Hz or 120 V AC at 60 Hz drives the pilot stage, and current reaches the coil through a wired terminal block housed inside a 1/2 NPT threaded enclosure. Solenoid indicator lights are provided for visual status checks during commissioning or maintenance. The spool is spring centered so port P stays closed while ports A and B vent to tank through tapered lands when the solenoids are de-energized. Installation uses the ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) mounting pattern, allowing the valve to fit standard subplates within mobile or industrial manifolds.
The main stage tolerates 210 bar on ports P, A, and B, the pilot supply can also receive up to 210 bar, and the return line withstands 210 bar to tank, ensuring symmetrical pressure capability. Pilot valve backpressure must remain below 100 bar, and shift speed can be fine-tuned with a dual pilot choke adjustment. Recommended flow is 170 L/min to achieve full spool travel without excess pressure loss. Fluorocarbon (Viton) seals retain hydraulic fluid at elevated temperature and resist chemical attack. Mounting bolts should be tightened to 79 N·m to maintain plate gasket compression and prevent leakage.
