The DG5V-7-33C-T-P2-T-80-JA valve is manufactured by Vickers and belongs to the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series. It directs hydraulic flow in automation circuits and is installed on an ISO 4401 size 07 (ANSI/B93.7 D07) manifold so mounting matches standard subplates. With spool code 33, the unit passes up to 300 L/min (80 US gpm), enabling high-volume actuator control. During a center transition the pilot stage moves 7.28 cm³ (0.44 in³) of oil from center to end chambers, supporting quick shift times. The main spool is spring centered, and its neutral state blocks port P while connecting ports A and B to T through tapered lands for controlled pressure decay. Internal pilot supply removes the need for an external feed line, and internal pilot drain returns leakage directly to the tank gallery. Both the pilot circuit and the working ports tolerate 350 bar (5000 psi), allowing use in systems with high-pressure pumps.

The electrical section uses a Class F coil encapsulation with Class H insulation to protect the solenoid from heat generated in continuous service. A 100 % ED duty cycle permits the coil to remain energized indefinitely, and operation continues correctly down to 90 % of the rated supply voltage when line regulation is poor. End-to-end shifting moves 14.56 cm³ (0.88 in³) of pilot oil, a volume selected to balance response speed with energy use. The housing carries an IP65 rating, sealing the coil against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets encountered on machinery. Tank port T withstands 210 bar (3045 psi) when the internal drain path is used, preventing case pressure overloads. These characteristics combine to provide consistent directional control for cylinders and motors in automated hydraulic equipment.
