The DG5S86AWB10 two-stage directional valve is manufactured by Vickers as part of the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series. Designed to route hydraulic flow between supply, work, and return lines, it supports automation tasks that require precise on/off control. The center spool is the number 6 type, which closes port P while connecting ports A and B to T during the centered position. Port A and port B each include a .4375-20 UNF-2B test connection that allows pressure measurement during commissioning. The valve accommodates a recommended flow of 170 L/min (45 USgpm) through a 23.00 mm pressure port bore and an equally sized 23.00 mm tank port bore to minimize pressure drop. A spring offset toward port A establishes a defined fail-safe shift when the solenoid is de-energized. System integrity is maintained under a rated pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) for ports P, A, and B.
Electrical actuation is provided by a solenoid coil that accepts 110 V AC at 50 Hz or 120 V AC at 60 Hz, housed behind a 1/2 NPT threaded wiring enclosure for straightforward conduit entry. Mechanical attachment follows the ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) interface and uses six mounting holes each bored to 13.50 mm; bolts may be tightened to a maximum torque of 79 N·m (700 lbf·in). The pilot stage tolerates pressures up to 210 bar (3000 psi), and the tank return line can also sustain 210 bar (3000 psi) without damage. This combination of electrical versatility, standardized mounting, and equal pilot and tank pressure ratings lets the valve integrate easily into manifold blocks and operate reliably in high-duty hydraulic circuits.
