The pressure port bore measures 25.00 mm (0.984 in) to match standard manifold cavities, and the tank port is the same diameter to simplify manifold machining. A 7/16-20 UNF-2B thread is provided at the test ports so maintenance personnel can connect pressure gauges without adapters. The specified fluid cleanliness level of 19/17/14 for systems above 3000 psi minimizes wear and sustains spool accuracy. Pilot exhaust paths are designed to stay within the limits stated earlier so no additional back-pressure devices are required.
