The DG5S82DXEMFWB530 is a two-stage directional valve manufactured by Vickers for the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series, used to shift hydraulic flow paths in automated machinery. Its solenoid coil is supplied with flying leads for direct wiring, and it accepts 110 V AC at 50 Hz or 120 V AC at 60 Hz so it can be powered from common plant supplies. Conductors enter through a 1/2 NPT threaded housing that protects the connection point. A fast response rating shortens shift time and improves circuit control accuracy. The spool is arranged in a pressure-centered configuration, and spool type 2 closes every port to T in the center position to block return flow when the valve is not energized. The body mounts to an ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) interface, and the recommended bolt torque is 79 N·m (700 lbf·in) to maintain a reliable seal between valve and manifold.
The valve tolerates line pressures up to 210 bar (3000 psi), and the pilot stage is built for the same 210 bar limit to simplify circuit design. Pilot oil is supplied externally, and an external drain returns pilot flow to tank so main flow is not contaminated. The pilot drain path must see no more than 100 bar (1450 psi) back pressure to prevent sluggish shifting. Flow capacity reaches 380 L/min (100 US gpm) without malfunction, while a recommended flow of 170 L/min (45 US gpm) keeps pressure drop low during normal service. The assembled unit weighs 16.8 kg (37 lb), allowing installation by a single technician with standard lifting aids.
