The DG5S82CTMUHL740 directional valve belongs to the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series manufactured by Vickers. It shifts hydraulic flow paths in automated circuits and does so with two stages of control that allow stable shifting under load. The valve performs a four-way function so it can alternately connect pressure, return, and actuator ports. A type 2 closed center spool is installed; when centered it blocks all ports to hold actuator position. The spool is spring centered, bringing it back to neutral when solenoids are de-energized. Electrical actuation is handled by an ISO 4400 coil, while a waterproof manual override permits local shifting when power is unavailable. The unit accepts a recommended flow of 170 L/min (45 USgpm) and withstands a maximum operating pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) in the main ports.
The valve mounts to manifolds using the ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) pattern, and each mounting hole is 13.50 mm (0.531 in) in diameter. A pressure port size of 23.00 mm (0.906 in) matches the tank port diameter, simplifying adapter selection. Internal pilot drainage routes pilot flow back through the body without external hoses. Field testing can be performed through a .4375-20 UNF-2B test port thread. Pilot supply may reach 210 bar (3000 psi), and the internal tank passage is rated for the same 210 bar (3000 psi) limit. These capabilities support reliable operation across the valve’s control stage while keeping envelope dimensions consistent with the DG5 series.
