The DG5S-8-8C-V-M-FW-B5-30 is a directional control valve produced by Vickers for the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series and is intended to route hydraulic flow in automated machinery. It mounts to manifolds using the ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) interface, allowing direct interchange with standard sub-plates. A tandem P-to-T, open-crossover spool design keeps pump flow unloaded in the neutral position and minimizes shock during spool shifts, while a spring-centered return holds the spool at neutral when the solenoid is de-energized. The recommended flow capacity is 170 L/min (45 US gpm), supporting medium-size systems that need fast actuator response. Working ports p, A, and B tolerate a rated pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi); the pressure port itself measures 23 mm in diameter to reduce entry losses. Six mounting holes of Ø13.5 mm secure the body to the manifold, and 7/16-20 UNF-2B test ports provide convenient points for circuit pressure checks.

Electrical actuation is handled by a solenoid coil supplied with flying leads, simplifying connection in confined panels. The coil operates on either 110 V AC at 50 Hz or 120 V AC at 60 Hz, and the wiring housing is tapped with a 1/2 NPT thread for conduit entry. Hydraulic piloting uses an internal pressure supply, while exhaust from the pilot stage is routed through an external drain to keep pilot flow clean of back-pressure. The pilot circuit can accept up to 210 bar (3000 psi) and vents to a tank line that must not exceed 100 bar (1450 psi). The main tank line itself is allowed to reach 210 bar (3000 psi), matching the limits of many industrial return systems. These combined pilot and electrical characteristics enable precise, two-stage spool positioning in automated hydraulic installations.
