The DG5S-8-6C-T-M-FPA5WL-B5-30 directional valve belongs to the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series and is manufactured by Vickers for hydraulic automation where precise flow routing is required. It mounts on an ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) interface so it can replace or share manifolds with other compliant hardware. The spool is type 6, meaning the pressure port is blocked while ports A and B are open to tank in the centered position, providing a depressurized neutral state. A spring-centered arrangement keeps the spool in that neutral position when the solenoids are not energized. The solenoid uses an F-class flying-lead coil which allows direct lead termination without a fixed plug. Dual-rating of 110 V AC at 50 Hz or 120 V AC at 60 Hz lets the same coil operate on common industrial mains worldwide. A PA5 five-pin connector mates with the coil to carry power and control signals. Cable entry is through a 1/2 NPT wiring housing that accepts standard conduit fittings.
This valve accommodates demanding circuit pressures, sustaining 210 bar (3000 psi) on the main ports and the external tank line without functional loss. The pilot stage can also withstand 210 bar, while its tank line is limited to 100 bar to protect the internal components. Maximum flow without malfunction at 210 bar reaches 380 L/min (100 US gpm), and a recommended service flow of 170 L/min (45 US gpm) ensures stable operation with minimal pressure drop. An internal pilot drain returns pilot flow directly to the tank passage inside the body, eliminating the need for an external drain line. Built-in indicator lights give visual confirmation of coil energization during troubleshooting or setup. .4375-20 UNF-2B threaded test ports are provided on ports A and B so that technicians can attach pressure gauges without adapters.
