The DG5S-8-6C-M-FW-D5-30 valve belongs to the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series manufactured by Vickers and is used to shift oil flow paths in automated hydraulic circuits. Spool type 6 establishes a closed pressure port while ports A and B return to tank, giving a rapid neutral condition when de-energized. A spring-centered mechanism repositions the spool automatically, eliminating external centering devices. The flying-lead coil eases installation in confined spaces, and it works on 220 V AC at 50 Hz or 240 V AC at 60 Hz to match common power supplies. A 1/2 NPT wiring housing seals the electrical entry against oil and dust. Internal pilot pressure is tapped from the inlet gallery to simplify plumbing, while an external pilot drain prevents back-pressure from slowing spool movement.
Rated pressure on ports P, A, and B is 210 bar (3000 psi), allowing the valve to serve medium-pressure machinery without derating. Maximum pilot pressure is also 210 bar, so the control stage withstands full system pressure. The tank line may see up to 210 bar, enabling discharge into back-pressurized return manifolds. A recommended flow of 170 L/min (45 US gpm) keeps pressure drop within acceptable limits for the ISO 4401-08 mounting surface. That interface, identical to NFPA D08, permits direct attachment to standardized subplates. Mounting bolts are tightened to 79 N·m (700 lb·in) to secure the body and maintain seal integrity during cyclic loading.
