The DG5S-8-6C-2E-W-H-JA-10-S82-M valve belongs to the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series from Vickers and directs hydraulic flow in automated machinery. It tolerates 210 bar (3000 psi) at the P, A, and B ports so it can serve high-pressure circuits, while the tank line carries the same 210 bar rating to permit unrestricted return flow. Pilot control is maintained because the pilot stage also accepts 210 bar. A recommended flow of 170 L/min (45 USgpm) defines the throughput the body can handle without excessive loss. Spool type 6 closes the pressure port and opens both work ports to tank in neutral to cut idle leakage. The spring-centered C arrangement recenters the spool automatically when pilot energy is removed. Dual pilot choke modification 2 slows the shift rate and limits shock. A DG4V3(S) wet armature pilot valve provides the electromagnetic force that moves the main spool.
External pilot pressure supply, identified as Code E, keeps the pilot circuit isolated from load fluctuations. The housing follows the ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) mounting pattern so it matches common subplates. Six Ø13.50 mm (0.531 in) mounting holes are provided, and the securing bolts are tightened to 79 N·m (700 lbf·in) to resist vibration. Ø23.00 mm (0.906 in) bores at the pressure port and the tank port support the rated flow with low restriction. A .4375-20 UNF-2B test port at chambers a and B lets technicians monitor pressures during setup.
