The DG5S-8-2C-M-FW-B5-30 valve belongs to the DG5 Two-Stage Directional Valves series produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation that directs flow between pressure, actuator, and tank lines. It is built for a continuous operating pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) on the P, A, and B ports, giving it the capacity to work in medium-pressure circuits. Spool type 2, closed to T in all ports, blocks return flow when centered, while the C spring arrangement recenters the spool automatically after actuation. An ISO 4401-08 (NFPA D08) port interface allows direct mounting on standardized subplates. The valve can pass a recommended flow of 170 L/min (45 US gpm) for normal duty and will handle up to 380 L/min (100 US gpm) at 210 bar when higher throughput is required. A weight of 15.0 kg (33 lb) must be supported by the manifold or mounting surface.
The pilot stage tolerates a maximum pilot pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi) and the tank line can sustain the same 210 bar limit, while the pilot valve tank path is restricted to 100 bar (1450 psi) to protect internal components. Electrical actuation is provided by a flying-lead coil that accepts 110 VAC at 50 Hz or 120 VAC at 60 Hz, giving flexibility for global power grids. The wiring housing is tapped with a 1/2 NPT thread so conduit can be attached directly, and the A/B test ports use a .4375-20 UNF-2B thread to permit pressure readings during commissioning or service. Correct installation requires mounting bolts to be tightened to 79 N·m (700 lbf·in) to secure the body without distortion.
