The 83027203 piston pump is manufactured by Danfoss and belongs to the Open Circuit Piston Pumps series. It supplies hydraulic flow for mobile equipment that relies on load-sensing automation. The fixed displacement of 75 cc per revolution establishes the volume delivered each shaft turn. A combined load-sensing and pressure-compensating control maintains output only when demanded, reducing energy loss. The load-sense circuit is preset to 25 bar so the pump reacts when downstream pressure exceeds that threshold. Control stability is aided by a 1.0 mm gain orifice that moderates signal flow, while no choke orifice is installed, leaving response undamped for faster correction. There is no auxiliary mount, which keeps the housing compact for tight engine compartments. The rotating group is timed for clockwise rotation to match common diesel power-take-offs. Continuous operation is supported up to 260 bar, allowing the unit to handle high work-port pressures without derating.
Installation features begin with an SAE-C four-bolt mounting flange that aligns the case to standard pump pads. The inlet uses a four-bolt split flange sized for 2-inch tubing with 0.5-inch threads to assure low-restriction suction flow, while the outlet is a similar split flange at 1 inch with 0.375-inch threads for pressure delivery. All housing ports are formed as SAE O-ring boss connections to provide reliable sealing under vibration. An input shaft with 14 teeth on a 12/24-pitch spline transfers torque from the prime mover without fretting. The axial endcap configuration allows straightforward plumbing because the case ports exit in line with the shaft. A pressure compensator is adjusted to 260 bar to limit system pressure and protect actuators. Sealing against oil leakage is handled by a single Viton shaft seal that resists heat and hydraulic fluid additives.
