The 060B016891 differential pressure switch is manufactured by Danfoss within the MP Differential Pressure Switches series and is intended to automate hydraulic circuits by opening or closing control relays when a preset pressure difference is reached. It covers a sensing span from –1 bar to 12 bar, allowing detection of slight vacuum conditions and moderate positive pressures in oil or water lines. A fixed differential of 0.65 bar keeps the contacts from chattering, while an adjustable switch differential of 0.2 bar lets the installer fine-tune the exact change needed before actuation. A 1/4 in flare pressure connection provides a tight metallic seal to standard tubing, and continuous service is allowed up to 17 bar working pressure withstanding 22 bar during pressure tests. Reliable operation is maintained between –40 °C and 60 °C ambient temperatures, so the unit can be mounted outdoors or near engines without auxiliary climate control.
The sensing bellows endures media temperatures to 100 °C, giving the switch compatibility with hot hydraulic oil. Electrically, a 250 V insulation rating and a 4 kV rated impulse voltage shield the relay contacts against line surges. After pressure falls below the reset point the relay opens within 90 s, which prevents rapid cycling in slowly bleeding systems. A 2 A short-circuit fuse limits fault current on the control line. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating that blocks accidental finger contact yet allows internal ventilation, and wiring enters through a Pg 13.5 cable gland to secure flexible conduit. These characteristics make the 060B016891 a compact component for hydraulic automation where moderate environmental protection, straightforward panel integration, and stable differential monitoring are required.
