The 060B016691 differential pressure switch is manufactured by Danfoss in the MP Differential Pressure Switches series and is intended to start or stop hydraulic components when the monitored pressure crosses a defined threshold. It uses an SPDT contact set so control circuits can be wired for either make or break operation. The contact differential is set at 0.2 bar, and an additional fixed differential of 0.65 bar establishes the overall switching span between cut-in and cut-out points. The low-pressure side can be adjusted from −1 bar up to 12 bar, while continuous operation is allowed up to a working pressure of 17 bar. Process connection is a 1/4 in flare fitting that threads directly into standard lines, and electrical termination is through a Pg 13.5 conduit entry to protect wiring.
The switch operates reliably in ambient temperatures from −40 ℃ up to 60 ℃, allowing installation in exposed machinery rooms or outdoor cabinets. An IP20 enclosure rating limits dust ingress and provides basic touch protection inside larger control housings. Internal insulation withstands 250 V, and transient over-voltages up to 4 kV are tolerated thanks to the rated impulse capacity. Pressure integrity is verified at a test pressure of 22 bar, giving a safety margin above the continuous rating; once actuated, the relay releases after 45 s to prevent chatter in slowly changing systems.
