The 148B6036 check valve belongs to the CHV Check Valves series manufactured by Danfoss and permits flow in only one direction for hydraulic automation loops. It uses an angleway body that sets the outlet at 90° to the inlet, simplifying pipe layouts in compact installations. An embossed one-way arrow on the housing marks the required flow path so installers can orient the valve correctly. The valve offers a Cv of 232 gal/min, giving high capacity with moderate pressure loss. Each port measures 100 mm and is supplied as a butt-weld end that matches EN 10220 pipe for direct welding. The connection pieces are made of steel and present an outside diameter of 108 mm to provide adequate wall thickness for pressure service. The poppet lifts when the upstream pressure exceeds the downstream side by at least 0.04 bar, maintaining tight shut-off when differential pressure falls below this threshold.
A cold-resistant steel housing preserves strength at low temperatures, and the PTFE cone ring serves as the primary seat to resist wear and chemical attack. A chloroprene O-ring seals the bonnet joint to block external leakage. A Kv of 196 m³/h supplies the metric flow coefficient used in European sizing calculations. The design tolerates working pressures up to 52 bar, allowing use in high-pressure liquid lines. Maximum media temperature is 150 °C, while minimum service temperature reaches –60 °C, so the valve functions across a wide thermal range without embrittlement or softening of seals.
