The 148B5688 check valve is produced by Danfoss for the CHV Check Valves series and is used in hydraulic automation circuits to permit flow in one direction while blocking reverse flow. Its 40 mm butt weld ends follow the ASME B 36.19M Schedule 40 standard so it can be welded directly into matching pipe without adapters. All wetted parts are stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance when the valve is exposed to process liquids. The angleway flow path turns the medium through ninety degrees, which helps designers fit the valve into compact piping layouts. An embossed one-way arrow on the housing gives a clear visual indication of the correct installation orientation. The poppet lifts at a differential pressure of only 0.04 bar, minimizing the extra head required from the system pump when flow begins.
A Kv value of 30 m³/h, equivalent to a Cv of 34.8 gal/min, defines the valve’s capacity and assists engineers when sizing pumps and pipelines for the desired flow rate. It is approved for fluid group 1 and group 2 media, allowing use with both hazardous and non-hazardous liquids common in industrial hydraulics. The maximum working pressure is 52 bar, so the valve can be installed on high-pressure discharge lines without risk of structural failure. Operating temperatures may vary from –60 °C to 150 °C, enabling reliable service in chilled brine as well as hot oil circuits. The unit weighs 2.598 kg, light enough for a single technician to position and weld during routine maintenance or system upgrades.
