The 148B5679 check valve belongs to the CHV Check Valves series and is manufactured by Danfoss for use in hydraulic automation where reverse flow must be blocked. It is a straightway valve so media moves through it without changing direction, and the permitted flow path is shown by an embossed 1-way arrow on the body. Installation is made through a 20 mm butt weld connection that follows EN 10220 dimensions, allowing direct integration into welded pipework. All connection parts are stainless steel to resist corrosion in demanding plant environments, and the exterior is finished with reddish brown paint for quick visual identification. The design is approved for fluid groups 1 and 2, covering a wide range of industrial liquids and gases.
The valve provides a Kv value of 7 m³/h and a Cv value of 8.1 gal/min, data that helps size the component for required system flow rates. It withstands a maximum working pressure of 52 bar, enabling service in medium-pressure hydraulic and refrigeration lines. The internal spring opens at a minimum differential pressure of 0.04 bar so forward flow can begin with little upstream energy loss. Operating temperature limits stretch from −60 °C to 150 °C, covering cryogenic duties and hot oil circuits without material degradation. These parameters define reliable performance across varied load, pressure, and temperature conditions in automated fluid control systems.
