The 148B5382 check valve is part of the CHV Check Valves series manufactured by Danfoss to stop reverse flow in hydraulic automation lines. It employs an angleway flow path that lets the medium turn through a right angle while keeping pressure loss low. The stainless-steel connection is a 20 mm butt-weld end built to EN 10220, so installers can weld it directly into standard piping. A pipe outer diameter of 26.9 mm and a wall thickness of 2.3 mm give the body sufficient strength against line stress. The valve opens at a differential pressure of 0.04 bar, allowing pumps to reach operating flow quickly. With a net weight of 1.28 kg, the component can be mounted without heavy supports in compact skids.
The design tolerates fluid temperatures from −60 °C up to 150 °C, covering both cryogenic and high-temperature hydraulic service. It holds internal pressure safely up to 52 bar so it can be placed on the high-pressure side of accumulators or pump outlets. A Kv value of 10 m³/h and the corresponding Cv of 11.6 gal/min define its flow capacity for sizing calculations. The internal volume of 2.359 L keeps the residence time of the medium short, which limits thermal lag when the system cycles. These characteristics let the valve deliver consistent forward flow and reliable shut-off across a broad range of automated fluid-handling applications.
