The ZDC10XP-1X/8XLM pressure compensator is produced by Bosch Rexroth as part of the ZDC Pressure Compensators series. It balances differential pressures in hydraulic circuits to maintain stable actuator speeds. The unit follows the ISO 4401-05-05-0-05 porting pattern and uses a sandwich plate design so it stacks directly between subplates and directional valves. With a nominal size of NG10, it handles a maximum flow of 85 l/min for medium-capacity systems. A maximum operating pressure of 350 bar on ports A, B, and P supports high-pressure drives, while the external pilot oil supply through port X allows remote pressure referencing. Port X itself is limited to 100 bar, preventing overloading of the pilot circuit. The module can be installed in any orientation and weighs 3.0 kg for manageable handling during assembly.
The compensator operates with hydraulic fluids ranging from –20 °C to 80 °C, allowing cold-start and high-temperature service without viscosity-related malfunctions. Ambient temperatures can also reach 80 °C, which secures reliability inside heated machine enclosures. System cleanliness must be maintained at class 20/18/15 per ISO 4406 to protect the valve’s precision orifices and prolong service intervals. The drain path through port T is rated for 250 bar, ensuring safe return flow even when downstream pressure peaks. NBR sealing material resists common mineral oils and withstands the thermal limits stated above, providing leak-free operation throughout the product’s service life.
