The Z2DB6VD2-4X/100V pressure relief valve belongs to the ZDB Pressure Relief Valves series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is installed in hydraulic manifolds to limit system pressure and protect downstream components. The valve size is 6, so it matches ISO 03 subplate passages used in compact power units. A sandwich plate connection style allows the unit to be stacked between directional valves without extra piping. Its porting pattern meets ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 to ensure direct interchangeability. The internal logic provides relief paths in both A-B and B-A directions for bidirectional flow protection. A maximum operating pressure rating of 315 bar permits use in high-pressure circuits, while the operator can set a relief point up to 100 bar for the specific application. Pressure is adjusted with a sleeve that has a hex drive and a protective cap, and pilot oil is drained externally through port T to prevent back-pressure from influencing the setting.
The valve supports a continuous flow of 60 l/min, allowing medium-size actuators to exhaust without excessive pressure rise. Counter-pressure on the return line can reach 40 bar, so designers can route tank lines through filters or coolers without impairing performance. It is intended for mineral oil–based hydraulic fluids according to DIN 51524 and maintains function from −15 °C to +80 °C thanks to FKM seals that tolerate thermal expansion and chemical exposure. The unit can be mounted in any position, giving flexibility when stacking manifolds in confined cabinets. Cleanliness of the working fluid must stay within class 20/18/15 per ISO 4406 to avoid spool wear and unstable settings. These combined limits on flow, temperature, and contamination keep the cartridge operating consistently in automated press, die-cast, and test stand circuits.
