The Z2DB10VC2-4X/315V valve belongs to the ZDB Pressure Relief Valves series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for hydraulic automation systems that need reliable over-pressure protection. It functions as a pressure relief valve, venting fluid once the circuit reaches its defined limit. A pilot-operated design lets the main poppets open gradually after a low-flow pilot stage senses line pressure, promoting stable operation at varying loads. Because it is built as a sandwich plate valve, the unit can be inserted between subplates and directional valves to save manifold space. Two internal valve cartridges allow separate control of the A and B service lines, and excess fluid leaves the stack through the dedicated A–T and B–T relief ports. Pilot oil drains externally via port T so tank backpressure does not shift the calibration. Pressure is adjusted with a threaded sleeve that has a hexagon head and a protective cap, which secures the setting against accidental changes.

The unit is compatible with mineral oils that meet DIN 51524, ensuring standard hydraulic fluids can be used without additional conditioning. Its housing and internals are rated for a continuous operating pressure of 315 bar, and the set pressure is fixed at the same 315 bar to match high-pressure power units. Backpressure at the tank connection can rise to 40 bar without impairing accuracy, giving designers flexibility in return-line routing. The valve may be installed in any orientation, so stack layout is not restricted by gravity or flow direction. To maintain service life, the supplied oil must achieve ISO 4406 cleanliness class 20/18/15 or better. FKM seals are fitted to tolerate elevated temperatures and common hydraulic additives while preventing external leakage.
