The Z2DB10VC2-4X/100V pressure relief valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth in the ZDB Pressure Relief Valves series and serves to limit pump or actuator pressure in hydraulic automation loops. The unit employs a sleeve with a hexagon and a protective cap, allowing technicians to adjust the spring setting while guarding it against accidental tampering. Two internal pressure cartridges split the function between parallel flow paths so both service ports receive the same safety margin. A relief route from port A to T and from port B to T discharges excess oil on either side of the actuator. The factory set pressure of 100 bar establishes the initial opening threshold for general-purpose circuits. The valve tolerates system pressures up to 315 bar, making it suitable for high-pressure manifolds in mobile or industrial machines. Counter pressure up to 40 bar at the tank line can be sustained without altering the relief characteristic.

FKM sealing elements withstand elevated temperature and aggressive additives, preserving leakage integrity over long duty cycles. The sandwich plate connection style lets the body fit directly between standardized CETOP subplates, reducing pipework and building a compact stack. Because it can be mounted in any orientation, designers are free to place the component wherever channel routing is most efficient. Stable performance is assured at a minimum viscosity of 10 mm²/s, so cold starts do not hinder valve response. At the other extreme, the design accommodates fluids up to 800 mm²/s, allowing use with heavy oils or high ambient temperatures. Compliance with ISO 4406 (c) cleanliness class 20/18/15 minimizes the risk of spool stiction caused by particulate contamination. These characteristics complement the relief function described earlier and help maintain predictable pressure control across varying operating conditions.
