The 4WRZE32E360-7X/6EG24K31/A1M proportional directional valve is built by Bosch Rexroth for the WRZ Proportional Directional Valves series. It meters hydraulic flow in automation circuits where precise speed and position control are required. The valve is built in size 32, giving it passage geometry that supports a nominal flow of 360 l/min at a differential pressure of 10 bar. A maximum operating pressure of 350 bar allows the unit to handle high-pressure supply lines common in mobile and industrial presses. Electrical actuation relies on a 24 V DC supply that powers coils with a cold resistance of 2 Ω, so current draw can be predicted during startup. The coils accept a ±10 V command signal, enabling direct interface with analog controllers. Wiring is completed through a DIN EN 175201-804 plug, and an IP65 housing protects the electronics against dust and low-pressure water jets. Continuous duty is permitted up to a coil temperature of 150 °C.
The integrated pilot stage uses a size 6 valve that shifts the main spool, and 26.5 cm³ of pilot oil is required to traverse from zero to full stroke, which aids cycle-time calculations. Spool overlap is set to 15 percent of command value, defining the neutral dead band that minimizes unintended motion around center. Oil cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 for the main flow path and ISO 4406 class 18/16/13 for the pilot path to prevent spool binding and wear. Mineral-based HL or HLP hydraulic fluids are approved because their viscosity range matches the internal clearances. NBR seals are fitted to resist these fluids while maintaining elasticity over service life. Together, these fluid and sealing parameters maintain leakage control during continuous duty.
