The 4WRZ16W6-100-7X/6EG24N9ETK4/D3M proportional directional valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the WRZ Proportional Directional Valves series. It meters hydraulic flow and shifts actuator direction in automation circuits. The valve is energized with a 24 V DC supply, and the solenoid coil presents 4.8 Ω at 20 °C to match standard power drivers. Continuous operation is supported because the coil is rated for a 100 % duty cycle, while a maximum coil current of 1.5 A limits power dissipation and simplifies amplifier sizing. Connection is made through a DIN EN 175301-803 plug, giving a quick-fit interface and clear pin assignment. The winding insulation tolerates temperatures up to 150 °C so the valve remains functional in hot oil reservoirs. An IP65 enclosure rating protects the electrical section against dust and low-pressure water jets, and the total mass of 13.4 kg must be considered for manifold or subplate mounting.
For hydraulic integration, the housing follows the ISO 4401-07-06-0-94 porting pattern so it bolts directly to compatible subplates. The main stage works at operating pressures up to 350 bar, and the D3 internal pilot path is also qualified for 350 bar to maintain consistent spool control. Return flow is limited to 250 bar when port T is piped externally or 30 bar when it is routed internally, preventing back-pressure from affecting spool position. With a differential pressure of 10 bar the valve delivers a nominal flow of 100 l/min, providing adequate volume for medium-size cylinders and motors. Pilot control needs only 5.5 l/min of oil during a full 0-to-100 % command, and the total pilot oil volume displaced over that stroke is 4.6 cm³, allowing fast response without overloading the supply pump.
