The 4WRZ16E100-7X/6EG24N9K4/M proportional directional valve is part of the WRZ Proportional Directional Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and serves as a metering element for automated hydraulic drives. At a pressure drop of 10 bar it passes a nominal flow of 100 l/min, so actuators receive consistent volume when commanded. The main stage tolerates operating pressures up to 350 bar, while the return circuit can be configured with an external drain that accepts 250 bar or an internal drain limited to 30 bar, letting designers match tank line constraints. Port Y is rated for 30 bar, keeping the pilot drain within safe limits. A porting pattern conforming to ISO 4401-07-06-0-94 allows the valve to bolt directly onto size-16 subplates that weigh 13.4 kg, reducing piping. NBR seals are fitted to maintain fluid separation under these pressures.
The pilot solenoid requires a 24 V DC coil supply, and wiring is connected through a DIN EN 175301-803 plug for straightforward installation in control cabinets. A concealed N9 manual override lets service personnel shift the spool without energizing the coil, and hysteresis is held to no more than 6 % to keep command response repeatable. The hydraulic circuit must maintain oil cleanliness at ISO 4406 20/18/15 in the main stage and ISO 4406 18/16/13 in the pilot stage to prevent wear and sticking. Continuous operation is permitted with hydraulic fluid temperatures up to 80 °C, and the size-6 pilot valve scales these electrical inputs into the main spool position for proportional control.
