The hydraulic circuit can be loaded up to 350 bar on the main stage, while an external drain through port T is permitted up to 250 bar and the Y pilot return is limited to 30 bar, letting designers segregate tank and pilot pressures. During spool travel from 0 to 100 percent, the pilot stage draws 5.5 l/min of oil to position the main spool accurately. Bosch Rexroth specifies HL or HLP oils according to DIN 51524 for compatibility with seals and damping orifices. To protect servo edges from silt, the main flow must meet an ISO 4406 cleanliness class of 20/18/15, and the pilot supply must reach 18/16/13. These limits sustain proportional response and extend service life in continuous control loops.
